Transcript[edit | edit source]

At Stefan's Parent's House

Michael: Ugh, 4:30 in the morning. Not my favorite hour. Thanks for having us.

Stefan's Mom: You're welcome.

Katelyn: Yeah, I've got a whole half a seat!

Stefan's Mom: Oh, alright!

Michael: Ok, lets do this!

In the Car

(radio music playing)

Michael: Mhm...mhm.

(radio music playing)

Michael: That car just passed you.

Stefan: Uh..uh!

Michael: That car just passed you, too.

Stefan: Increasing speed now, sir.

Michael: Disable the (pigo?) intake. Enable the flux rotary...

Stefan: (unknown)...combobulator.

Michael: Hell yeah. That.

Las Vegas

Michael: It is now 8:30. We've made it to Las Vegas. So we're stopping for bathroom slash foods.

In the Bootlegger Italian Bistro

Michael: This place is fancier than I was expecting. This is the Bootlegger Italian Bistro. It's one of the few places that's actually open right now because it's still pretty early in the morning. Everybody got some variant of eggs.

(people singing in the background)

Stefan: Las Vegas.

Katelyn: Is there an echo in here?

Outside

Michael: Oh, so bright. Ok, uh, time to get gasolina.

Back in the Car

(radio music playing)

In Mesquite

Michael: We just stopped in a town called Mesquite. It is very hot. Very, very hot. But at least our bladders are empty now. Whew!

Back in the Car

(Nerdist Podcast Playing)

Michael: Oh dear, oh dear.

Stefan: Oh, oh he's got the dogs. They've got dogs. Oh my god.

Michael: Oh no. They were driving so fast their car disappeared.

(Stefan laughing)

Michael: That wasn't funny. Why did you laugh? Oh, there's their car.

Stefan: Ah, haha, it kept going!

(Tickle Song Playing on Radio)

(Laughter from Michael and Stefan)

Katelyn: Um, is there a cord I can plug into?

Michael: We're listening to the tickle song right now.

Katelyn: But my phone is almost dead.

(Michael and Stefan singing along to song)

Michael: Oh god, don't tickle me! Oh...

Stefan: Uh...

Michael: Play it again, play it again!

Stefan: Again!

At the Little America Hotel

Michael: It's the Little America Hotel. I hope they have good internet. This kinda feels like the Hollywood Tower of Terror Hotel.

Stefan: Oh...

Michael: But not haunted. Stefan is insisting that I check out the bathrooms so, here we go. I guess this is kinda fancy. Oh, got doors between all the stalls and marble slabs between the, uh, the urinals.

Stefan: See, doesn't this just inspire you to take a poo.

Michael: My grandmother would really like these light fixtures. How was the women's restroom?

Katelyn: Um, I mean they were cool and fancy...

Stefan: What do you mean cool? There's marble slabs!

Katelyn: It wasn't the most amazing bathroom I've ever seen.

Stefan: For 100 dollars a night, I think it's the most amazing bathroom I've ever seen.

Michael: I just got recognized by a girl in the hotel. Katelyn says that she can't take me anywhere.

Katelyn: I can't go anywhere with you!

Michael: Ah, we're in room... There's one bed for three people?

Stefan: Katelyn is small. We can stack.

Katelyn: (Fake sobbing/laughing)

Stefan: Ok, we'll be right back up there. Thank you.

Michael: Well?

Stefan: Well lets go back. Get new keys.

Michael: I guess we're changing rooms now. So I can tell you that we were in room 6117. Ok, so now we're in room... The reason that we left so early in the morning was so that Stefan could get here by 6 o'clock.

Stefan: Yeah.

Michael: To attend a reception and now he doesn't even want to go.

Stefan: Well, so we got here...

Michael: So we could've left five million hours later.

Stefan: But now we're here and we can hang out. You gotta problem with that?

Michael: Yeah, I gotta problem with... I don't actually care at all. (laughing)

Stefan: Ok, ok but, well so now yeah, I woke up at like 3:40 this morning and drove for 10 hours and now we're here and I'm tired and the reception's like 35 minutes away and I don't really wanna drive 35 minutes to get to a reception because that's...and then I have to drive 35 minutes back after the reception when I'm going to be even more tired.

Michael: Kay.

Katelyn: Are you... is the reception mandatory?

Stefan: No.

Katelyn: Oh, then why the hell did you even come anyway?

Stefan: Ok, well lets, lets back up ever further. Because, I knew it wasn't mandatory but I sorta wanted to get here in time for it and then we were kinda going back and forth when we were talking...I was talking to Michael about it and he was like, "Lets do it. Let's...lets just, we, we would have to leave at five and we'd be there on time. Lets do it. Lets do it." And so I was like, "Ok..."

Katelyn: Oh, so now it's Michael's fault.

Stefan: Ok, my best friend of 20 years is telling me lets do it, lets, we should do it. I trust his opinion.

Katelyn: Now it's Michael's fault!

Stefan: So...

Michael: Really, I just want to know if there's a Chipotle nearby.

Stefan: Oh, Chipotle!
