In Katelyn's car
Michael: I'm sleepy. We're going to the airport. pause This street is called Melrose Place.
Katelyn: Yeah.
Michael: I never realized that.
Katelyn: What about that? What's so special about that?
Michael: It's a T.V. show.
Katelyn: Oh. I've never heard of it.
jump cut
Michael: Got a flight to Salt Lake City and then - and then a transfer to a flight to Chicago. I should be getting in at like 9 p.m. tonight.
(shot of snowy road ahead, Katelyn humming in background)
(shot of train passing)
Michael: It's a train! I used to be obsessed with trains when I was a wee lad. I had all kinds of cool train sets and I had a train calendar.

Gate agent over intercom: Also, for those going to Salt Lake City, if you have a mobile boarding pass, if you haven't noticed, our flight is showing delayed by about 18 minutes going to Salt Lake City. Every day this flight shows delayed going to Salt Lake City for some unknown reason, um, I couldn't tell you why, um, knock on wood, but the plane has not been delayed yet. Again, they just show a delay, uh, just in case.

Salt Lake City International Airport
(shot of landing)
Michael: Well, I made it to Salt Lake City. I got to sit behind some kind of women's basketball team on the plane, so that was fun.
I've got about (looks at watch) 45 minutes before the next flight takes off.
The mountains out the window are really pretty.
I just found out that Philip Seymour Hoffman died today. Uh, I - I feel bad that, like, one of my first thoughts was, "What are they going to do about The Hunger Games?"
Chicago O'Hare International Airport?
Michael: And now I'm in Chicago. I slept through most of that second flight. I was hoping to get here early enough to go to Potbelly to eat, but I don't think that's going to happen, because I think they close in six minutes and I still have to get my bag.
Got my bags.
On an "L" train
discreet shot of homeless (?) person sitting on seat and train employee standing over them
Train employee: Alright, put the stuff in the bag! Put it in the bag!
Person: (heavily slurred) I...did
Train employee: Put it inside the bag! Come on now, put it inside the bag.
Person: (heavily slurred) I did

In Rob's car
Michael: I just got picked up by a Rob Scallon!
Rob: Woah! Woooah! There's more than one? (laughs) I'm just one of them?
Michael: There's probably more than one on the planet.
Rob: Oh, yeah, I guess you're right. Just people with that same name.
Michael: One of them -
Rob: Yeah.
Michael: - picked me up! (laughs)
Rob: (laughs) Yeah! There actually are other ones. And there - I think - I looked it up on Facebook. I don't know if this is something that other people do, but there's two Rob Scallons in Ireland and I wanted to form a band with them, but they weren't into it.
Michael: Rob and the Scallons?
Rob: (laughs) Just Rob Scallon featuring Rob Scallon featuring Rob Scallon.
Michael: Yeah. Uh, there are a few other Michael Arandas. It seems to be a more popular name -
Rob: Yeah.
Michael: - in the, uh, Spanish-speaking community.
Rob: Oh, really?
Michael: Not very many English-speaking ones.
Rob: No, that's [?].
Michael: Your windshield is a little difficult to see through.
Rob: Yes, yes!
shot of windshield wipers struggling across smeared windshield
Rob: (muttering) No, that doesn't do really much. (louder) You kinda have to pick your spot in the windshield where you can see through.
Michael: (moving camera to different angles) Like you can see through right here if you're tryin' to look through this, [?] it's not visible.
Rob: (scrunching down in seat) Yeah, for me, it's like its always down here, it's always good, so if I'm always like really low, I can see like right after it snows.
jump cut
Michael: Let us feast.
Rob: Yes.
Michael: Uh...
Rob: Not on Potbelly's.
Michael: Yeah, Potbelly's probably gonna be closed.
Rob: You always wanna go to Potbelly at like, midnight or 11.
Michael: Well, I just always get in late!
Rob: Yeah. And it's always a - you usually come in on Sunday, right? Last time, you came in...
Michael: Yeah, Sunday to Saturday is default Chicago time.
Rob: Yeah, so, we're off to the diner again.
Michael: My ear really itches. It's just somethin' in there.
Clark's Diner
shot of diner exterior
Michael: "Clark's Diner! Open 24 hours!"
Rob: Yeah, and it's good.
inside, shot of menu
Michael: "Oh my, you should eat!" (opens menu) They have appetizers and "les salads", waffles eggs and more, a clear thing, skillet eggs, pancakes, omelettes, sandwiches. I'm going for the Hearty Sizzlin' Burgers.
Waitress: Are you guys ready?
Michael: What burger is good?
Waitress: I would recommend the Mexicana, but the Irish Burger is very popular.
Michael: Irish burger...
later, shot of burger
Michael: This is my Irish Burger. It's got scallions on it. Should I add some mayonaisse? I'm gonna add some mayonaisse.
Rob's house
Michael: Well, I'm back at Rob's house now. Uh, I have this couch all to myself. I don't know if you can see anything, it's so dark. There's a doorway over there.
Rob: There's my arm.
Michael: (laughs) There's Rob's arm.
Rob: Yeah.
Michael: Do you wanna share this couch with me tonight?
Rob: Uh, I think - I think there's only enough room for you.
Michael: (sigh)
Rob: Unless we like, really snuggle.
Michael: (laughs)
