Transcript[edit | edit source]
Michael: Look at that guy. He's building a building.
May is upon us, it's no longer April, but I'm still gonna use this big camera sometimes because I do what I want.
I mentioned this last night, but my throat, there's something, something, I, I don't know. I, I have a sore throat, I think. It doesn't feel bad to swallow or anything, but it just, it feels swollen.
So today I'm on my way to a calculus midterm. I feel mostly okay about this one. Then after that I've got until midnight tonight to finish another computer science project thing. Other than that, I don't think I have anything planned. Hank's out of town, so we're not filming anything. I filmed all my stuff yesterday. Last weekend I didn't have time, or rather, it wasn't a priority to, um, do my like, weekly chores around the apartment. So, now it's been two weeks of things just kind of piling up and getting dirty. Maybe if I finish my computer science thing early, I'll do some cleaning. That sounds fun.
Okay, I've got my pencil. Let's take this test.
That was dumb. Uh, nobody finished before the time was up, so maybe the guy will go easy on us. Also, there was RedBull velcroed to the bottom of all of our chairs, so that's interesting.
Apparently, somebody recognized Claire.
Claire: Yay.
Michael: From her videos.
Claire: Yep. But I forgot to ask his name, and now I feel bad.
Michael: This is the beginning of a long strange journey for you.
Claire: Maybe. Who know, though?
Michael: There's something going on on campus called Jurassic quest. There's a bunch of dinosaurs all over the place.
(dinosaur noises)
Michael: So I'm working on this computer science assignment thing that's due tonight, and I can't figure something out. So this is what the program looks like right now. It's taking in a bunch of information from a text file and parsing it out, uh, I guess the text file has a bunch of baseball stats. So it picks out someone's name, and their team, and their position, how may games they've played, blah blah blah blah. But the program also has to be able to take user input. So if I want to add a new name to the list, I can type in all their stuff here and then push this giant 'Add Player!' button. I've been able to set it up so that the program checks to see if any of these fields are empty, and if so, it doesn't let the user continue, it says 'Please fill out all the text fields!' But I also want it to be able to check the values in games, at bats, runs, hits, home runs, and rbi to make sure that they are numbers because the program over here is expecting integers. If you give it something other than an integer, it freaks out. But I can't figure out how to make it check to make sure there's an integer before trying to pull the value out and stick it into one of these variables. If that made any sense.
How's it going?
Claire: Good. We're matching.
Michael: We're matching. You don't have a blonde stripe on your shirt.
Claire: But I have blonde hairs.
Michael: You're right.
