Transcript[edit | edit source]

Physics Classroom

Physics Professor: So I need my ax's and bx's and ay's and by's. So, I calculate those.

The Office

Michael: I haven't uploaded a video in like a week.

Katelyn: Why?

Michael: And that number is just going up.

Katelyn: So you shouldn't upload anymore videos.

Michael: The key to increasing subscriber counts is not uploading.

Michael's Apartment

Michael: Look at this lovely meal that Glenn cooked. Thanks Glenn.

Glenn: You're welcome.

Michael: Right cat? Right.

You drive on interstate 1o from San Antonio to Houston half the time at 78 km/hour and the other half at 115 km/hour. ON the way back you travel half the distance at 78 km/hour and the other half at 115 km/hour. What is your average speed from San Antonio to Houston, from Houston back to San Antonio, and for the entire trip? What is your average velocity for the whole trip? The velocity is easy, it's zero! Nice shrimp.

Katelyn: Thanks.

Michael: Finished my homework, look at that, total score: 80, point potential: 80, that's 100 percent.

Did you know that there is a Michael Aranda Wiki? So if you're the type of person who really likes to fill out wiki things, boy have I got a job for you. If you look over here at the episodes, seasons 1-4 all have sections. As you can see there's a lot of red things that don't exist yet. We can look at one that's already been done. We've got a link to the video, some episode information, locations from the video, weather conditions, anthropometry, season 4 stats as of this video, and a full transcript, that's exciting.

So far I believe most of this work has been done by Kyla, whom I'm sure many of you know from the comments section, she also runs the arandanauts tumblr.

So, like I said, if filling out wikis is something that gets you really excited, then we could really use your help to fill this thing out. My hope is that it will be a repository for people who find the community and want to know more about what the heck is going on. I've had several instances of people asking, "what's the episode where such and such happens?" and being able to search the wiki would help people find that much more easily. But I think the thing that I'm most excited about is, if I have transcripts of episodes like this, then that makes it really easy to set up closed captions for the videos, and that's something I've been wanting to do for awhile. Not only will this help me make videos more accessible to people who are deaf, but also to people who don't speak English as their first language and are maybe having a hard time understanding what people are saying, or are trying to learn English, or whatever.

Anyway, if this interests you, you can go to wiki.michaelaranda.com. You'll have to create an account up here in the upper right. And then if you go over to the contribute link over here on the left, there's a list of things that are most in need of help. I'm sure Kyla help provide some direction in here as more people join.

Looking at the, uh, recent changes page is interesting right now because it's all Kyla. Everything. Everything is Kyla. Thanks Kyla.

Okay, thanks for watching. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
