EcoGeek Office
(Stefan Chin is petting Abby)
Stefan Chin: (softly to Abby) Hey, hey, hey, hey.
Michael Aranda: (to Abby) Hey, hey, hey, hey (pointing at computer screen) hey, that’s me.
Stefan: (to Abby) Hey. (to Michael) Yeah.
Michael: (pointing to Abby) That’s a dog.
Stefan: (softly) That’s a dog.
Michael: The dog’s collar matches the color behind me.
Stefan: (softly) Ahhhh.
Michael: (Michael points at the computer screen, then to Sam, and then to Lindsey) Look! It’s Lindsey!
Lindsey Doe: Byyyye!
Michael: Bye!
Michael’s Apartment
Michael: This is a momentous occasion, as I must open a new box of the Kiton black. I only have two more bottles of this stuff, so I gotta make it last. Oh yeah. (Michael gently places the bottle on the counter). Also, by the way, we have guests. There’s Caleb and Morgan and Index is not a guest. He lives here. Also, Stefan lives here.
Stefan: Heeeeey.
Michael: (reading Stefan’s shirt) Everything is dead.
(Stefan shakes a pill bottle)
Michael: What you got there?
Stefan: Floss!
Michael: Floss? (On closer inspection, the pill bottle has individual floss sticks inside)
(Michael sprays himself with the Kiton Black)
Michael: Ah, ah.
Stefan: 3 pumps.
Michael: Yeah, you gotta break the bottle in.
Stefan: Noo.
(Michael laughs and begins wafting himself around the room)
Stefan: Ooo, fantastic.
Michael: How does it smell Morgan?
Morgan Paige: It’s smells like a discontinued perfume. Like, that it should be that way for a reason.
Stefan: Oooooo, snap
Caleb Sieb: Gauntlet thrown down.
(Michael walks away with his chin held high)
Stefan: See where you’re sleeping tonight.
Michael: On the floor.
Morgan: Still on the floor.
Michael: Just like last night.
Outside the Pendleton Blanket Shop
Michael: Caleb and Morgan just got to see the creepy mannequin for this first time. Caleb’s word for it was “jarring”.
(everyone laughs)
Whippersnappers
Michael: (As Morgan is playing with a triceratops groan toy) Morgan, what sound does a triceratops make? (Morgan opens her mouth as she bends the sound toy down and it lets out a weird groan sound)
(Morgan laughs)
Michael: Oh.
Morgan: (reading a book) Can you waddle like a penguin?
Katelyn Salem: Waddle, waddle, waddle.
Michael: Slip, slide, swoop.
Morgan: (turns the page to a jumping frog) Oh, ooo.
Katelyn: A frog!
Michael: Flip, flop, floop.
Stefan: Wooow, wow.
Michael: Missoula-opoly.
So today is Alan's birthday. Um, we, we’re looking at cards to get Allen and we’ve decided on, on this one right here. On the loss of your precious cat. The joy they give us is beyond words, as they pain we feel when they leave us.
Outside
Michael: Hey squirrel, hey. Hey. Hey squirrel.
Michael’s Apartment
Michael: Ok, we’ve uh, properly decorate Allen’s card. (the card has several variations of Allen crossed out, such as Alin, Allen, Allan, and Alien. It then just reads To: Our friend). Are you ready?
Stefan: I’m ready.
Michael: Are you ready?
Katelyn: I’m ready.
Michael: Are you ready?
Caleb: I’m ready.
Michael: Are you ready?
Morgan: So ready.
Michael: (spins around the room) There’s no cat nearby to ask.
Alan Lastufka's House
Michael: This morning, Siri thought it was gonna be raining. (Michael pans up to a partly cloudy sky, with the sun shining brightly). Nope.
(general party chatter occurs around Michael)
Alan Lastufka: Ok, so whoever wanted burgers, burgers are done.
(Abby catches a ball, shakes off water, and drinks water, all in slow motion.)
Kristen Franklin: (lighting candles) I lit so many more than you did
Hank Green: Yeah, well, you have a better tool than I do. I’ve also dripped a bunch of wax on it.
Kristen: Oh there’s wax everywhere.
(Everyone begins singing Happy Birthday to Allan)
Michael: Cake! (as Caitlin Hoffmeister brings a plate of cake closer and farther from the camera) Woah, I can’t focus on it.
(Caitlin laughs)
Matt Gaydos: It's not 3-D Caitlin.
Valerie Barr: Woo.
Matt Gaydos: (playing guitar) ...bells ring. I held on to my ding-a-ling. My ding-a-ling, my-ding-a-ling, I want you to play with my ding-a-ling. My ding-a-ling, my ding-a-ling, I want you to plaaaaaay with my ding-a-ling.
(Applause occurs)
Michael: (Michael and Stefan are doing push-ups against the rim of the couch, where Valerie is sitting) Valerie, how does this make you feel?
Valerie: A little bouncy.
Morgan: I can’t see you.
(Laughter from the room)
Michael: Can you feel us?
Valerie: I can also smell you.
(Laughter from the room)
Michael: Good or bad, this ties in to something we filmed earlier.
Morgan: Good or bad?
Valerie: Good.
Morgan: No. Wrong answer.
Valerie: Bad.
(Everyone laughs)
Michael: Ok Alan, this has been a fun time. Thanks for inviting everybody over. (begins to sing) Happy birthday….
An Exxon gas station
(The price and gallon numbers scroll by)
Michael: Probably can’t read that sign, but it’s 3 42 a gallon. The price has gone up like 50 cents in the last few weeks. 46, 87.
(Water rushes over Michael’s windshield as the car goes through the car wash. There are several stages of whoooshing sounds)
