Transcript[edit | edit source]
Unknown Man: Can I get a sound check real quick from you?
Michael: Show 'em a button, and see if they push it. On April 1st, Reddit did exactly that.
Unknown Man: Kay.
Michael: "The Button" is simply a page on reddit with a timer that counts down from sixty seconds and a clickable button. Clickable. Clickable's a hmmm... clickable. Marshmallows! If you wanna keep getting smarter with us, go to youtube.com/scishow and subscribe.
Unknown Woman: Yay!
Unknown Woman 2: Woohoo!
Michael: We had a very long Sci Show shoot today. We shot an episode about allergies that took a very long time.
Stefan: It's like a whole new perspective on the world.
Michael: My new iPhone arrived today.
Unknown Woman 3: Your's looks kind of bent.
Michael: It is, and I, like,
Stefan: That's why he had to get a new one.
Unknown Woman 3: Oh.
Michael: Sometimes the screen doesn't respond and then there's like this flickery madness at the top. And I found that when it starts doing that, the way to get it to not do that is to physically push it back in the other direction.
Unknown Woman 3: Oh my gosh.
Michael: And then it usually works fine. I don't know how well this shows up, but comparing the mint iPhone, on this side, with mine, on this side, this one is definitely a little bit crooked.
Unknown Woman 3: Am I in there?
Michael: No.
Unknown Woman 3: I don't wanna be.
Unknown Woman 4: Lou is though.
Lou: Hey!
(laughter)
Michael: There's so many people here. They're playing games, and eating cookies,
Stefan: I only ate half of a cookie.
Michael: Are you guys gonna win or are you gonna lose?
Nicole: No we're gonna
Nick: Probably gonna lose.
Stefan: Look at this!
Michael: Whose fault is it?
Nick: Mine. (laughter) It is 100% my fault.
Kristen: I was so close to getting this and then Nick advised me to do something else and then I died. And that's where it all went downhill.
Nick: I don't get it.
Michael: So while that's happening, I've been trying to edit video. I set a sort of lofty goal for myself in that I want to try to be caught up by April 30th so that on April 30th, the last day of VEDA, all of VEDA can go live. Probably won't happen, but we're gonna try.
Behold the four horsemen of the apocalypse: war, famine, death, and centaurs. War, famine, death, and heteronormativity. War, famine, death, and special musical guest, Cher. (laughter)
Claire: That's worded really well.
